The Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival, founded by Katie Longmyer of Good Peoples and Jen Lyon from MeanRed, is renowned as being Brooklyn’s biggest independent music event. The festival will hold parties across the borough, including the established deep house mecca Output, Analog BKNY in Gowanus as well as rising venues such as Trans-Pecos in Bushwick.
There are also planned warehouse afterparties in locations yet to be revealed, as they will require special invitations.
BEMF also revealed their opening lineup which includes Hungarian techno producer Route 8, who is part of the Lobster Theremin power house, Brooklyn’s own Jon Fay, deep house queen Honey Dijon, the founding father of Deviation, Benji B, and big stage names Kerri Chandler and The Black Madonna. Brooklyn’s celebrated diversity is on display across different music genres and nationalities as artists from all over the world will gather for this event.
The festival will also include art installations, live shows, movie screenings and twilight panels on various topics before the DJ sets occur. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the Phase Two lineup and make space for the week of madness from the 4th of November until the 11th.
