Kendrick Lamar’s new album titled ‘DAMN.’ will be out this Friday. It will be his first extended release since ‘untitled unmastered’ and first proper LP since the release of critically acclaimed ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ in 2015.

The album will consist of 14 tracks, with 3 guest appearances confirmed as of today. Legendary Irish band U2 will appear on a track titled “XXX.”, while Rihanna will join Kendrick on “LOYALTY.” The third confirmed guest to appear on “DAMN.” is a rising rapper Zacari, who gained a lot of attention after stage-crashing last year’s “People’s Choice Awards”. He’s also a frequent collaborator of Canadian rapper and producer KAYTRANDA, who might also be featured on the album (according to his own tweets) on song “LUST.”

In a YouTube interview producer, Syk Sense said that ‘DAMN.’ will be a hard hitting album, unlike its heavily jazz influenced predecessor. This seems to be confirmed by that fact that Atlanta-based producer Mike WiLL Made-It will be working with Kendrick on at least 3 tracks, one of them being previously released “HUMBLE.” Mike WiLL is mainly known for working with artists such as Rae Sremmurd, Gucci Mane, and Jay-Z.

In an interview for New York Times Kendrick himself described the album as “very urgent” using a very curious analogy: “We love women, we enjoy their company. At one point in time, I may have a little girl who grows up and tells me about her engagements with a male figure — things that most men don’t want to hear. Learning to accept it, and not run away from it, that’s how I want this album to feel.”

It also appears that recently released “The Heart Part IV” isn’t a part of the album but a loose single, similarly to its predecessors Part I and III (Part II was a part of Overly Dedicated mixtape from 2010).
